About The Role - You Will

Seagate has created a growth organization that will mature R&D concepts into revenue growth vehicles. Emerging memories such as Magnetic Memory, Resistive Memory, Ferro Electric Memory, Phase Change Memory are going to enable IoT and AI growth in coming years. The Memory Appliance Group is part of the Research & Development (R&D) organization focused on evaluating and qualifying emerging memories for device characteristics, reliability metrics and failure mode detection. This team is responsible for evaluating memories through device characterization in early maturity cycle till memory qualification at production stage.

Within the R&D organization, the Memory Appliances Group is seeking a Memory Engineer who can understand underlying physics of memories and design new tests to track, enhance memory maturity. Memory engineer will be responsible for defining & executing memory tests, analyzing massive set of data, and executing several design of experiments (DOEs) to drive statistics-based conclusion for maturing memories for Seagate products

About You

  • Strong Device Physics or Material Science background
  • Proficient statistics skills
  • Experience with lab electronics (oscilloscope, SMUs, AWG, spectrum analyzer, VNA, etc.)
  • Non-volatile Memory/Semi-Conductor test knowledge
  • Self-motivated and demonstrated ability to adapt to a changing environment and learn new technology.
  • Flexibility to operate under supervision and/or independently.
  • Excellent team player
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Your Experience Includes

Phd degree in Physics, Material Science, Micro Electronics with knowledge of lab instruments & statistics required, Non Volatile Memory / Semiconductor knowledge preferred
