About Our Group
The EDS Manufacturing Test Process group is a highly motivated team that delivers manufacturing test process support for Seagate Systems Division. Our mission is to provide end to end capability and support to all factories during build and test of RBOD/JBOD storage systems.
This internship will give the candidate an opportunity to work on the enhancement of architecture and design of test processes utilized in the manufacture of storage systems. The role will expose the candidate to the importance of manufacturing from a business and engineering perspective.
About The Role - You Will
Longmont, CO or Shakopee, MN
Our Longmont product-design campus is nestled against the foothills with exceptional views of the Rocky Mountains. Here at work, you can grab breakfast and lunch in the on-site cafeteria or get an afternoon espresso, prepared by a professional barista. Our 1,500+ employees enjoy an active on-site experience from sporting activities (get in a few laps at lunch on our 1-mile walking path around campus, play ping-pong or volleyball, or stop in our 24- hour fitness center for a group or individual workout) to community service and many employee resource groups including Pride!, Women’s Leadership Network and a Young Professionals Network.
Our Shakopee campus is located 25 minutes southwest of Minneapolis in a setting with a rural vibe – it overlooks a horse racing track and stables, yet it has great entertainment venues close by as well. Colorado's 2021 Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085) requires we inform you of the estimated base salary range for this position: $21 – $25.50. Actual salary range is based on the regional labor market of the role in the geography in which you live based on the requirements of the job and your skills. This posted salary range is a good faith and reasonable estimate, and Seagate reserves the right to adjust this range depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.

About The Role - You Will
- Work with a talented group of engineers on pilot enhancement projects.
- Hands on work with storage systems and test infrastructure
- Learn about storage systems technology and how it functions
- Learn about networked test infrastructures and test development and implementation
- Have a passion and curiosity for cloud systems storage problems and solutions.
- Are energetic, self-driven, and a team-oriented individual.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Are detail oriented and passionate about quality, testability, and maintainability of the solutions you create.
- Familiarity with Linux OS
- Experience with Python programming language
- Current Bachelor's student in a Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Systems Engineering program
