The Memory Appliance Group is part of the Hardware Engineering organization focused on qualifying emerging memories for reliability metrics and determining failure mechanism. The team works closely with device physicist and memory design team to assess and provide feedback about memory performance through test results and data analytics. About The Role - You WillWithin the Hardware Engineering team, the Seagate Memory Appliances Group is seeking a Memory Device Characterization Engineer who can understand memory electrical tests and corresponding test metrics. You will be part of the Memory Test Group where you will be responsible for performing detailed memory device characterization, executing experiments (DoEs) & test developments. About You

• Currently pursuing a PhD degree in Physics, Material Science, Micro Electronics or related program of study
• Knowledge of lab instruments & statistics required
• Self-motivated and demonstrated ability to adapt to a changing environment and learn new technology
• Flexibility to operate under supervision and/or independently
• Excellent team player

Your Experience Includes

• Proven Physics or Material Science background
• Familiarity with lab instrumentation
• Excellent statistics skills
• Non-volatile Memory/Semi-Conductor test knowledge
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Non Volatile Memory / Semiconductor knowledge preferred

Location:Our Shakopee campus is located 25 minutes southwest of Minneapolis in a setting with a rural vibe – it overlooks a horse racing track and stables, yet it has great entertainment venues close by as well.
