Join a talented team of engineers designing and improving systems used to print and personalize credit cards, passports, driver’s licenses, national IDs and more. Work on cross-functional teams creating products that matter. As a member of the Continuation Engineering group, the Mechanical Engineer II will be a key member of an engineering team responsible for designing solutions, cost reductions, and improving quality of Entrust released products. Our solutions utilize a broad range of printing technologies and use a variety of mechanical and electro-mechanical components and processes, including injection molded plastic, sheet metal, machining, rubber molding, power transmission, DC motors, lasers, and sensors.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute project work plans, incorporating revisions as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Use theoretical calculations and analytical methods to develop and support mechanical concepts
- Review or create part drawings, solid models and bills of material
- Provide technical input at design reviews
- Identify and complete Value Engineering / Cost Reduction activities to meet customer requests and departmental objectives.
- Minimize schedule and technical risk by foreseeing and addressing obstacles proactively and aggressively.
- Provide technical problem solving
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities
- Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 2+ years of engineering experience
- 3D solid modeling experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and general use of PC applications
- Able to travel up to 10% within the US and internationally.
- Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US

- Mechanical aptitude with hands-on skills
- Interest in product design
- Detail-oriented, deadline driven, self-directed and organized individual
- Ability to excel in highly-interactive team environment
- Commitment to learning and continuous improvement
- A high level of initiative and self confidence
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Good written and verbal communications
- Experience working with mechanical and electromechanical products
- Experience using SolidWorks 3D CAD program

Compensation Range:
The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $74,625-$109,450 per year (in the primary posting location). Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location, education, skills and experience. This position is also eligible for the company’s discretionary annual incentive plan. In addition to your pay, Entrust offers eligible colleagues and their dependents comprehensive health and well-being programs which include medical, vision, dental, a generous 401(k) matching contribution, life and disability insurance, mental health coaching, virtual fitness programs, paid personal time off plus 12 paid holidays, parental leave and education reimbursement.
