Position Overview:

As a Manufacturing Engineer II at Entrust you will have opportunities to:

The Manufacturing Engineer II will be a member of our Manufacturing Engineering team based at our Global Headquarters in Shakopee, MN.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide production support for assigned products. Typical scope will include a combination of mature and newer products.

  • Solve production problems and implement cost and quality improvements.

  • Develop capability to build new products, meeting performance and cost targets.

  • Manage projects and develop leadership skills.

  • Support projects to develop manufacturing capability to build new products. Responsibilities include writing work instructions, designing tools and fixtures, and researching and purchasing manufacturing equipment. Lead parts of larger projects with guidance from your manager or a more senior engineer.

  • Make changes or improvements to existing manufacturing assembly and test processes

  • Design and manage build of production assembly and test tooling or fixtures

  • Develop and implement root cause corrective actions for manufacturing issues

  • Support continuous improvement projects

  • Provide technical support to value engineering project teams

  • Implement manufacturing system changes that improve quality, delivery performance, and efficiency

  • Work on projects that support global manufacturing operations

  • Serve as a mentor/guide for less experienced manufacturing engineers

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering

  • 3 years engineering experience in a manufacturing engineering or equivalent role

  • Self-directed and organized individual with a high level of initiative and self confidence

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical issues

  • Good written and verbal communications skills

  • Enjoys working with people and organizing their efforts to reach a goal

  • Commitment to learning and continuous improvement

  • Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience and a demonstrated competence working with global teams

  • Interest in leading teams

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Systems, or Business Administration

  • Ability to create and manipulate Solid Works CAD models

  • Experience working with manufacturing and testing of complex electro-mechanical products

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma problem-solving methods

Compensation Range:


The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $71,552-$104,943 per year (in the primary posting location). Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location, education, skills and experience. This position is also eligible for the company’s discretionary annual incentive plan. In addition to your pay, Entrust offers eligible colleagues and their dependents comprehensive health and well-being programs which include medical, vision, dental, a generous 401(k) matching contribution, life and disability insurance, mental health coaching, virtual fitness programs, paid personal time off plus 12 paid holidays, parental leave and education reimbursement.
