Position Overview:
The Senior Network Engineer manages and maintains our company’s computer networks. This involves planning and developing solutions for crucial infrastructure initiatives to maintain a vision for the corporate network infrastructure. In addition, this role provides high-level technical guidance and support for the enterprise network structure, as well as mentorship and guidance for a team of engineers that troubleshoots and optimizes our networks. To ensure success as a Senior Network Engineer, you should have extensive experience working with enterprise networks, and advanced project management skills.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement functional network infrastructure and systems using correct network diagrams and documentation
- Analyze and confirm the information demands and functional requirements in collaboration with internal and external customers
- Adopt network security measures after organizing, planning, and safeguarding data, software, and hardware
- Monitor network performance to identify necessary adjustments and improvements
- Cooperate with technology suppliers to offer business-focused solutions
- Provide technical leadership to teams working on deployment and support
- Ensure the stability of the working environment before, during, and after system updates
- Establish and maintain strong cross-functional working connections with corporate and local teams
- Resolve issues escalated by lower support tiers and provide support for those tiers as needed
- Configure firewalls, routing, and switching to maximize network security and efficiency
- Utilize online resources and documentation to gain knowledge about new or unfamiliar technology
- Collaborating with network architects to design and implement functional company networks.
- Installing and configuring networking hardware.
- Creating and implementing network security measures.
- Mentoring and guiding junior Network Engineering staff.
- Conducting regular network performance tests.
- Delegating networking maintenance tasks to junior staff.
- Dealing with escalated network support issues.
- Drawing up network status reports.
Basic Qualifications
- College or University Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- 8+ years of High Availability, High Security, Internet Data Center Experience and the requisite rigor needed to operate in that environment
- 2+ years of public cloud experience preferred but not required
- Experience in with automation and deployment frameworks to deploy network services
- Documentation skills and experience
- Design and deployment experience with most of the following technologies: Cisco, F5, Palo Alto, Windows Server, VMWare, SD Wan, Network Virtualization
- Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong organization skills and detail-oriented
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Knowledge of ITSM/ITIL
- Project coordination and management experience
- Experience with the following:
- Cisco OS, FW, Switches, Routers
- Palo Alto, FWs
- Cisco ACI
- F5

Compensation Range:
The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $108,720-$159,456 per year (in the primary posting location). Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location, education, skills and experience. This position is also eligible for the company’s discretionary annual incentive plan. In addition to your pay, Entrust offers eligible colleagues and their dependents comprehensive health and well-being programs which include medical, vision, dental, a generous 401(k) matching contribution, life and disability insurance, mental health coaching, virtual fitness programs, paid personal time off plus 12 paid holidays, parental leave and education reimbursement.
