Job Title: Machine Operator – 1st Shift REQ#
Position Overview:
The Machine Operator will be primarily responsible for set-up, run, cleaning, and general maintenance of rewind equipment. This position is also able to operate table top rewind, desktop rewind and Label Applicator equipment (set-up, clean, and general maintenance) and, when needed assist with Package Assembler duties.
This is a 1st shift position, working Monday through Friday typically 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM with at least 4 hours working on Friday. There is possible flexibility on work schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Verify through work orders that job processes, spec sheets, samples, proofs and drawings are correct before production run
- Maintain quality standards by checking registration, for debris and overall quality
- Use digital instruments and measuring devices to collect and record continuous accurate SPC data
- Troubleshoot and solve machine related problems such as tension, pressure, settings and web-breaks
- Detail-oriented, deadline driven, self-directed and organized individual
- Ensure a clean, healthy, and safe work environment
- Perform basic math functions as related to rewind operations
- Support and maintain ISO 9001 certification through daily work activities
- Continuously pursue corrective and preventative measures on all products and services
- Halt processes that could adversely affect product or service quality
- All employees are obligated to be aware of Entrust’s Quality Objectives and Quality Policy
- Performs other duties and participates in special projects as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience working with various substrates including paper, film and poly
- Previous experience working on rewind equipment in a flexographic or digital print environment
- Mechanical aptitude with hands on skills
- Basic math and computer skills
- Experience using digital instruments and measuring devices to include rulers, comparators, calipers and gauges to collect and record data
- Ability to stand continually with frequent bending and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to communicate in basic English; read, write and understand
- Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 - 5 years’ experience on Omega Rewinders working with films and poly
