Position Overview:
WE ARE HIRING A SR SERVICE TECHNICIAN IN SHAKOPEE, MN!
The Sr Service Technician will work on complex systems built in the USA to produce high quantities of cards that involve embossing, full color graphics, laser technology, magnetic encoding, smart card and other state of the art techniques.
Responsibilities:
Electro-Mechanical Depot Maintenance
Perform component level repair of complex electro-mechanical parts and assemblies to support Entrust field service and global parts sales business
Deliver high quality emergency maintenance services on Entrust equipment
Assist with the refurbishment of Entrust \ products to support the Certified Pre-owned Equipment sales
Support other functions and responsibilities within Repair Services and ID Services
Diagnose and understand equipment problems
Work with a high degree of autonomy with the ability to test, diagnose and resolve issues
Maintain failure data records
Communicate technical issues to engineering, manufacturing, quality and other groups
Learning and Development Key Activities
Participate in company sponsored personal development and quality initiatives
Complete all company training and development courses required by Entrust
Basic Qualifications:
Associates degree in Electronics
Minimum of 2 years of electromechanical technician experience
Proficient problem solving and troubleshooting skills for complex mechanical assemblies
Demonstrated ability to read and follow assembly drawings, schematics, bill of materials and follow processes
Demonstrated communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to communicate effectively with external and internal customers
Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, assignments and travel when required
Able to lift 50 pounds
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional electromechanical technician experience
Component level circuit board rework and repair experience
Additional power supply and peripheral device repair experience
Advanced technical education
Skilled with tools and electronic test equipment
Strong organizational skills
