We're looking for an Operations Planning Analyst!

The Operations Planning Analyst is the key individual responsible for coordinating the Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) process from an Operations standpoint. Working closely with Operations colleagues (Master Schedulers, Production Planners, Purchasing) as well as cross-functional colleagues (Sales, Finance), the Operations Planning Analyst analyzes historical sales data, sales forecasts, the opportunity pipeline, average selling prices, financial plans, capacity constraints, and other disparate data to help generate a consensus Operations Plan over the planning horizon for assigned Products, Regions and/or Business Segments. On an ongoing basis the Operations Planning Analyst monitors progress towards the quarterly plan, identifies potential issues and, works to resolve them. The successful candidate will possess very strong analytical and organization skills, deals effectively with ambiguity and, has strong collaborative skills. The role is highly visible, and individuals need to be comfortable communicating with both Senior Management and individual contributors.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze historical sales rates for assigned Product Families, Sales Regions, and Business Segments.

  • Generate Sales Forecasts (units and dollars) based on historical run rates.

  • Monitor Sales pipeline and Sales Forecasts in order to:

    • Identify potential impact on Operations constraints and the Financial Plan.

    • Identify outliers and associated risks.

    • Communicate findings and coordinate resolution as required.

  • Participate as required in sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes.

  • Act as the key Operations liaison to Sales, Finance and Supply Chain regarding the implementation and execution of the Sales, Inventory and Operations Plan.

  • Recommend inventory strategies that ensure successful plan execution while protecting company assets.

  • Generate tools and processes as required to monitor, control and communicate progress against the Financial Plan.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field

  • 3 years of direct experience in Order Fulfillment, Master Scheduling/Production Planning, Inventory Planning or Sales Operations in a high tech manufacturing company

  • Detail oriented with solid analytical skills

  • Intermediate Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for the US

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree

  • Experience working with sales teams

  • Experience working with master planning/production control/supply chain management

  • Experience working in a global environment

  • Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to build partnerships and influence cross functionally at both senior and individual contributor levels

  • Oracle ERP, SalesForce.com, and SAP Business Objects experience

  • APICS certification
