We’re looking for a Senior Manager Purchasing!

The Senior Manager of Indirect Procurement will provide overall leadership to Entrust’s Indirect Category Management organization, developing and executing global indirect procurement strategies to achieve desired business results. This individual will oversee all strategic and tactical activities relating to Entrust’s global indirect procurement process for products and services. In addition, there will be responsibility for cost reduction using innovative sourcing approaches and various supplier development activities, including but not limited to participation in Entrust’s supplier diversity program.

How you will make an impact:

  • Manage the indirect strategic sourcing process and provide oversight for the supplier life cycle management process.

  • Continuously monitor and update strategic sourcing strategies and tactics to address near- and long-term product or service threats and opportunities.

  • Manage and participate in the strategic and tactical negotiation of major indirect supplier contracts.

  • Partner with various departments to select the right suppliers to allow Entrust to take advantage of the best cost/value products in the market.

  • Provide strategic, tactical, and operational direction to the organization in support of best cost/value indirect sourcing strategy, including cost analysis and decision support.

  • Implement and manage a category management framework for the category buying team to organize, qualify, and support product and services purchases, whether for single instance or for multi-year agreements.

  • Lead and manage a team of category managers and buyers on a global basis.

  • Perform general management responsibilities such as hiring, performance management, performance reviews, individual development activities, etc.

  • Monitor team performance against department standards, and ensure that these standards are consistently met or exceeded

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Sourcing, or other degree plus relevant experience.

  • 10+ years’ experience in purchasing, sourcing, and contract management leadership, including global sourcing and indirect sourcing, on a global basis.

  • 5+ years in a leadership capacity.

  • Experience and proven track record in project management, collaboration with other departments, and driving supplier performance with new products and services.

  • Proven track record in executing strategy and driving for results.

  • Strong leadership skills and experience.

  • Exceptional negotiation and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to develop strong relationships at all levels of the organization and participate fully in executive-level strategic decisions.

  • Able to travel up to 15%, including internationally.

  • Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous Six Sigma training, Black or Green Belt desired.

  • Experience in developing and implementing category strategies.

  • Experience in implementing a source-to-pay framework with IT support on a global basis.

  • Advanced degree in Business Administration or Purchasing Management.

  • Nationally recognized professional certification (Certified Purchasing Manager or Certified Professional Contract Manager).
