- Own a defined design project or project segment, contributing to new product development, sensor design improvement, or technology investigation efforts.
- Design and execute laboratory experiments and evaluations to characterize sensor or system performance.
- Develop test plans and propose design approaches for investigating technical questions or validating design concepts.
- Analyze experimental data and translate findings into actionable design recommendations.
- Document results through technical reports, design summaries, and presentations to project teams and leadership.
- Research and source materials, components, or equipment needed to support design objectives.
- Collaborate with engineers, chemists, technicians, manufacturing personnel, and other stakeholders across functional disciplines.
- Support test solution preparation, laboratory equipment maintenance, and test setup development.
- Maintain laboratory safety by safely handling chemicals and following established testing procedures.
- Support additional technical initiatives as business needs arise.
- You are curious and driven to understand how things work at a fundamental level. You take ownership of your projects and see them through from concept to conclusion. You collaborate naturally across teams and are comfortable working alongside engineers, scientists, and technicians. You communicate clearly, in writing, in the lab, and in front of an audience. - Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or chemistry
- Zero (0) years of related professional experience required
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours) per week in-person at a Twin Cities location (Shakopee, Chanhassen, or Eden Prairie, MN)
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Coursework or project experience in analytical chemistry, electrochemistry, or sensor design
- Familiarity with measurement technologies such as pH, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, or optical sensing
- Laboratory experience, including safe chemical handling practices
- Prior internship or undergraduate research experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
