Emerson is seeking a Project Business Specialist for PMO team at our Shakopee, MN location. As a Project Business Specialist, you will be responsible for directing work on complex projects and accounts by assigning work across functional areas in the company and managing the project/order schedule. Ensuring that project deadlines are met, and customer deliverables are accurately submitted.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Identify the information needs of each work group to ensure they are met, while holding accountability for the account and project
    • Communicate with customers and Field Sales Reps via phone calls, emails and virtual meetings, doing so professionally, and in the best interests of Emerson
    • Provide pre-sale and post-sale administrative support for all Measurement products on assigned projects
  • Serve as the primary customer order contact by assisting in identifying customer requirements
    • Providing regular progress reports for all stakeholders, directing the preparation of the project orders, and resolving any non-standard issues throughout the project cycle
    • Responsible for executing customers’ special requirements to assure successful project order execution (inspections, documentation, special invoicing needs, etc.)
  • Maintain an understanding of general business practices
    • Assures Emerson’s standard business terms and conditions are addressed by working directly with our Terms & Conditions department
    • Have familiarity and solid understanding of the process industry
    • Have familiarity and working knowledge of the business systems, process industry and Import/Export compliance
    • Actively participating in process improvements utilizing Rosemount’s Quality tools

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • 4 Years and an Associate’s Degree Or 6 Years and a High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Order management experience preferred
  • Experience leading customer meetings to align customer needs with business capabilities
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Skilled in timely and effective communication

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The starting salary for this role is $60,000-70,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities and experience each candidate brings to a role.
