Bayer CropScience in Pinkenba is on the lookout for a passionate Mechanical Tradesperson (Fitter) to join our dynamic manufacturing site. This full-time, permanent position offers a fantastic opportunity to work Monday to Friday, starting your day at 6:30 AM and wrapping up by approximately 3:00 PM.

Do something that moves you

• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on a diverse array of mechanical equipment, including production machinery, conveyors, pumps, and pneumatic systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment failures efficiently to maximize production uptime.
• Maintain precise records of maintenance activities and spare parts inventory.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, external contractors, and equipment manufacturers to ensure seamless operations.
• Uphold safety standards by adhering to Lock Out, Tag Out procedures and completing necessary safety reports.
  
  

Does this sound like you?

• A recognized trades certificate (minimum Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical).
• Experience in a manufacturing or chemical machinery environment with hands-on knowledge of pumps, mills, and automated systems.
• Strong fault-finding skills and the ability to interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams.
• Basic machining, welding, and fabrication skills are a plus.
• A commitment to safety and sound computer skills (knowledge of SAP is beneficial).
• Proactively committed to enhancing operational systems and continuously developing skills to deliver increased value to the organisation
• Full Australian work rights and your own transport to Pinkenba.
  
  

Desirable Skills

• Restricted Electrical work license.
• High-risk licenses (Forklift, Rigging & Dogging, EWP).
• Experience working in confined spaces and at heights.
