This position will meet Wholesale roasted coffee needs by working closely with Green Coffee and Production staff on a daily basis. This is a full-time position, working five days per week on 2nd shift (2:00pm-10:00pm).

The Roaster will be responsible for:

  • Fulfillment of daily coffee orders.

  • Perform routine roaster cleaning and maintenance

  • Assist with green coffee; inventory and floor counts, receiving, organizing and moving product; weighing and portioning for recipes

  • General organization of the roastery; cleaning and other duties as needed

  • Develop an understanding for Profile Roasting

  • Other duties as assigned


  • Have a passion and enthusiasm for coffee

  • Roasting experience preferred, but not mandatory

  • Previous manufacturing experience


  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English.

  • Basic math skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills.

  • Concentration and focus while doing a repetitive job.

  • Ability to listen, learn and act accordingly.

  • Willingness to learn from mistakes to grow and enhance skills.

  • Ability to manage and prioritize daily and weekly tasks.

  • Demonstrated problem solving skills.

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.

  • Ability to work in a teamwork environment

  • Basic technical aptitude and/or willingness to learn equipment details.


Employees in this role utilize PIT vehicles in their day-to-day activity to safely transport loads up to 2000 lbs. within the factory and/or warehouse environment. Certification to each vehicle type is required as outlined in the Cameron’s Coffee Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) Safety Program. The following PIT vehicle certifications are required for this role:

  • Sit-down Forklift

  • Electric Pallet Jack

  • Genie Scissor Lift

  • Floor Scrubber

  • Silo Cart Caddy

  • REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: This role will report to the Production Process Supervisor.

  • LOCATION: Corporate Headquarters located in Shakopee, MN.


  • The noise level is high. Ear protection is provided

  • Roasting machines and the environment in which roasting happens can get warm. Proper dress should be considered.

  • The position will be five days per week and while each work will comprise two consecutive days off, required workdays may occasionally fall on a weekend.
