The Associate Marketing Manager, Digital & Social is responsible for planning and managing interactive content across all social and digital channels, as well as assisting in the development and execution of our customer email marketing strategies, focusing on creating online strategies and tactics to drive lead generation, unique visitors, customer engagement and loyalty across all digital channels. Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, the role is highly cross-functional, partnering with the Content Team to create and curate strategic content that engages our customers across multiple platforms.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Designs, builds, and maintains the company’s social media presence across multiple channels.
  • Works with the Senior Marketing Manager to develop an annual plan and calendar for email, digital, and social marketing programs, consistent with the company’s commercial plan.
  • Monitors and develops recommendations for action based on social activity across competitors, suppliers, customers, and associations.
  • Partners with the content team to translate messaging to relevant audiences across the digital landscape, including social media, display advertising, email, and other mediums.
  • Collaborates with internal and external creative resources to create and curate the necessary assets to publish across channels, including ecommerce and customer communications.
  • Manages digital advertising for the company, including paid search (SEM), paid social, display advertising, and other relevant digital media spends.
  • Collaborates with Senior Marketing Manager and external partners to create SEO/SEM strategies and develop process, communications, and training for marketing team members.
  • Partners with product, sales, operations, and other marketing team members to develop email automation and nurture opportunities for specific customer communication work streams, improving our customer engagement, experience, traffic to our website, and overall company loyalty.
  • Acts as the primary administrator for multiple social feeds including moderating, responding to followers, and reporting any issues.
  • Partners with the Marketing Analytics team to develop regular reporting and clear performance dashboards and optimize activity as needed.
  • Stays current on social trends and provides recommendations for executions of social media, digital advertising, and email marketing campaigns as it relates to our customers and/or products.
  • Ensures all social media, digital content, and customer email communication is consistent with company branding, positioning, voice, and messaging.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & WORK REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism or marketing, or equivalent experience required.
  • 4+ years of diverse digital marketing experience, including digital marketing channels, email marketing, SEO/SEM, social, and affiliate marketing.
  • Experience using social media tools such as Sprout Social or similar platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of social content best practices and content specifications in Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other social channels.
  • Experience working with a wide range of creative formats including image, video, and link content, as well as newer formats such as ephemeral content, live videos, 360 videos/images, and GIFs.
  • Past agency experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with automation platforms (e.g. Marketo, Hubspot, and Eloqua) and proficiency working in CRM platforms (e.g. Salesforce or MS Dynamics) is a plus.

  • Proven problem solver that can creatively and efficiently identify and solve problems by gathering and analyzing information and recommending innovative solutions.
  • Ability to drive toward big picture goals and milestones while maintaining a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the proven ability to target communications effectively for internal and external partners. Ability to work well under pressure, successfully navigate ambiguity, and succeed in a rapidly changing, fast-paced, often unpredictable environment with multiple competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams to achieve necessary results.
  • Strong customer empathy to build connections and engagement in a social media environment.
  • Ability to work independently and manage projects through to completion.
  • Knowledge or appreciation of craft brewing or other alcoholic beverage categories preferred, but not required.
