Job Summary

To clean and polish molds and mold equipment manually. Use blasting and rotating equipment or chemical process as necessary.

MAIN POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Typical Duties

  • Shipping and receiving, including paperwork.
  • Staging job change equipment – Mold Shop and Hot End.
  • Storing of mold equipment.
  • Cleaning and securing supplies for Mold Shop.
  • Obtains molds and equipment for cleaning and/or polishing, using hand truck as necessary
  • Processes materials for cleaning through chemical dip tanks, electro-clean and/or blasting equipment as required.
  • Cleans and polishes materials using powered portable or stationary rotating equipment.
  • Hand cleans and polishes molds using wire brush, scrapes, emery cloth, etc., as required.
  • Applies preservative coating to materials such as grease, oil, etc. as specified.
  • Maintains required cleaning solution concentration.
  • Informs supervision of irregularities of materials processed or equipment used.
  • Responsible for all general safety and house rules, good manufacturing practices and job-specific safety procedures.
  • Performs miscellaneous duties as required.
  • Personnel will be trained yearly for the proper handling and disposal of the following hazardous wastes as it relates to their job description.
  • Mineral Spirits Training
  • Paint Waste Training

Work Schedule: Individuals will work a swing shift / rotating shift work involves working 7 consecutive days of an 8am-4pm shift followed by 3 days off, then working 7 consecutive days of a 12mid-8am shift followed by 2 days off and then working 7 consecutive days of a 4pm-12mid shift followed by two days off and then starting back on the 8-4 shift. This amounts to working 21 days with 7 days off in a 28-day cycle.

Rate: $26.56 per hour

EMPLOYEE QUALIFICATIONS:
