Job Summary

To perform repairs and maintenance work to automatic selecting units single line equipment, conveyors, sealers, stitchers and other Select and Pack equipment.

MAIN POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

TYPICAL DUTIES:

Makes repairs to all packing equipment including but not limited to: drop packers, inspection equipment, palletizer equipment, etc. Checks single line operation including cross conveyor, turntable, power conveyor, bottle grouping, choke conveyor, etc. Moves single line equipment in or out as required by production schedules. Sets up gauging machines for job changes and adjusting bottle handling machines, automatic taping machines and drop packers. May set up surface treatment equipment on lehrs as required, cleaning nozzles and checking operation of equipment. Mixes and prepares cold-end spray, etc. Cleans glue pots from sealers in steam tank, repairs bearings and reinstalls. Keeps work area clean by use of good working methods and clean up after repair jobs. Performs miscellaneous related duties assigned. Personnel will be trained yearly for the proper handling and disposal of the following hazardous wastes as it relates to their job description.
